Day 29: God Our Avenger
“Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me.” – Psalm 35:1
Week 5: The Season of the Vengeance of the LORD
You’ve been faithful in the fire.
You’ve praised through pain.
You’ve stood your ground — and now, heaven is responding.
This week, we step into a holy and fierce promise: The Vengeance of the LORD.
This isn’t revenge — it’s divine justice. It’s the righteous intervention of a God who sees every injustice, hears every cry, and moves with perfect timing.
Throughout Scripture, vengeance is not a reaction — it’s a rescue.
When God moves in vengeance:
🎯 Enemies scatter without a sword being raised
⚔ Accusations are silenced in the courts of heaven
👼 Angel armies are deployed to fight battles you couldn’t
🌾 Harvests are protected from demonic interference
🕊 Peace becomes a weapon, and praise opens prison doors
This is your week to lay down the weight and pick up your worship.
To stop striving and start seeing.
To watch the Righteous Judge step in — not just to defend, but to deliver.
Let every lie be silenced.
Let every thief be caught.
Let vengeance become restoration in Jesus’ name.
Today we enter Promise Five: The Vengeance of the LORD — not as a cry for revenge, but a call for righteous justice.
In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat stood before an impossible army. The odds were overwhelming. The people were terrified. But instead of picking up weapons, they picked up worship. And God responded:
“You will not have to fight this battle. Stand firm… and see the deliverance the Lord will give you.” – 2 Chronicles 20:17
When they praised, heaven ambushed the enemy. The battle turned without them lifting a sword.
That’s the kind of God we serve — a warrior who doesn’t just defend, but delivers.
⚔️ HE FIGHTS FOR YOU ⚔️
When they began to praise, God set ambushes.
The enemies turned on each other.
The battle ended in victory and plunder — without Israel lifting a sword.
This is divine vengeance.
God is not passive — He is passionate about your destiny.
He will contend with what contends with you.
Your job? Release control.
Lift up praise.
Watch God fight.
DIVINE VENGEANCE TIP:
Write down the battle you’ve been trying to win in your own strength. Physically lay it down before the Lord. Declare praise over that situation today.
DECLARE TODAY:
"God is my avenger. He will contend with my enemies. I will use praise to silence the enemy and the avenger! I rest in His justice, not my striving."

🙏 Closing Prayer
Father, You are the Righteous Judge and the Lord of Hosts.
I surrender every battle I’ve carried and every injustice I’ve endured.
I lift up my hands in worship — not as retreat, but as warfare.
Let heaven contend on my behalf.
Let Your justice flow like a river.
Silence every voice of accusation and release divine outcomes in places I couldn’t fix.
I trust You to fight for me — and I receive the victory.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
